1. Who is who
1.1. These Terms apply when you register for a tournament or another event on rabbitmatch.pro and pay its entry fee.
1.2. The event is run by its organizer, named on the event page and in the confirmation email. The entry fee is paid directly to the organizer: to the organizer's merchant account with the bank, by transfer to the organizer's account, or at the venue. The organizer is the seller and is responsible for the event, the entry fee and refunds.
1.3. RabbitMatch provides the registration page and passes your registration to the organizer. RabbitMatch does not receive or hold the entry fee and is not a party to the payment.
1.4. The organizer may publish additional rules (format, schedule, dress code, conduct) on the event page. They form part of these Terms for that event.
2. Registration
2.1. When you pay by card, your place is held for 30 minutes while you pay; if the payment is not completed in that time, the place is released. When you pay by transfer, the place waits for the transfer until the time stated in the booking email; if the transfer has not arrived by then, the booking is released. When you pay at the venue, the registration stands until the event starts.
2.2. A registration is confirmed when the organizer has the payment: the bank confirmed the card payment, or the organizer confirmed the transfer or the payment at the venue. In a free category it is confirmed at once. You receive a confirmation email.
2.3. The person registering (the captain) confirms that the details of all players are correct and that each player agreed to be registered and to share their details with the organizer.
2.4. The organizer may refuse or cancel a registration with false details, or one made in breach of the event rules. If the mistake was made in good faith and came to light before the event starts, the entry fee is refunded in full. Deliberately false details are a breach of fair play (section 4).
2.5. By registering, the captain confirms that they and every player of the team have read these Terms, including sections 3 and 4, and accept them. The captain passes the link to these Terms to the players. A player who takes part in the event thereby confirms they accept these Terms.
3. Category and level of play
3.1. The categories of an event differ by level of play; their limits are stated on the event page. Each player may take part only in a category that matches their real level.
3.2. By registering, the captain confirms for each player of the team that:
a) the player's level is not above the upper limit of the chosen category;
b) what the player tells the organizer about their level, and states in the RabbitMatch level questionnaire and in other rating systems, is true and complete;
c) the player has not hidden anything that significantly affects the assessment of their level.
3.3. This includes in particular:
a) a rating or level in RabbitMatch, Playtomic or other systems, including a higher one held earlier;
b) tournament results: prize places, play in higher categories;
c) professional or semi-professional play, work as a coach;
d) a high level in other racket sports, where it significantly affects play;
e) deliberately lowering a rating: losing on purpose, a new profile instead of the old one, knowingly wrong answers in the level questionnaire.
3.4. The organizer may check a player's level before and during the event: ask for proof of a rating or results, compare them with public ratings and tournament records, and assess the play on court, including in the first matches.
3.5. If a player's level is clearly and significantly above the category:
a) before the event starts, the organizer offers to move the team to a suitable category if it has places (paying the difference in the entry fee, if any). If a move is not possible or the team declines, the organizer cancels the registration;
b) during the event, the organizer may move the team if the format allows it, or withdraw it from the competition. The team's results in the category it was withdrawn from are annulled.
3.6. If the level was understated or hidden deliberately (clause 3.3), this is a breach of fair play: the entry fee is not refunded and the measures of section 4 apply. If the mistake was made in good faith, came to light before the event starts and the team cannot be moved, the entry fee is refunded in full.
3.7. The organizer decides whether a player fits a category, reasonably assessing the information available to them. A rating formally within the category's limits does not oblige the organizer to keep the player in it if their play is clearly and significantly stronger than the category.
4. Fair play and conduct
4.1. Participants follow the rules of the game and of the event and the instructions of the organizer and the referees, treat opponents, partners, referees, spectators and staff with respect, and take care of the courts and equipment.
4.2. Breaches include in particular:
a) deliberately understating or hiding a level (section 3);
b) playing under another person's name, or replacing a player without the organizer's agreement;
c) fixed matches, losing on purpose or not trying, collusion to influence the draw, the seeding or the final places;
d) betting on matches of an event in which the player takes part;
e) falsifying the score, knowingly wrong line calls, or otherwise deceiving an opponent, a referee or the organizer;
f) insults, threats, harassment, discrimination, aggression or violence;
g) unsportsmanlike conduct: throwing a racket or a ball in a way that puts people at risk, damaging property, repeatedly delaying play, refusing to follow the instructions of a referee or the organizer;
h) taking part under the influence of alcohol or drugs in a way that endangers the player or others;
i) any other conduct that grossly breaches sporting ethics or threatens the safety or fairness of the competition.
4.3. Depending on how serious the breach is, whether it was deliberate and whether it was repeated, the organizer may apply one or more measures:
a) a warning;
b) a point, game or match penalty;
c) disqualification of the player or the team from the event;
d) annulment of the results, places and rating points of the event;
e) forfeiture of prizes; prizes already handed over are returned to the organizer;
f) refusal of registration for the organizer's future events, for a period the organizer sets in proportion to the breach, up to an indefinite refusal for serious or repeated breaches.
4.4. If one player's breach affects the team's result (a hidden level, a substitute player, a fixed match), the measures may apply to the whole team.
4.5. At the event, decisions are made by the organizer or by the head referee the organizer appoints. Before a disqualification, the player is given a chance to explain whenever this is possible. A decision made at the venue is final for the course of the event. The organizer informs the participant of a disqualification and of a refusal of future registrations in writing, with the reason.
4.6. Within 7 days after the event the participant may ask the organizer in writing to review a decision about the refund of the entry fee or about refusing future registrations. The organizer replies within 14 days.
4.7. The organizer decides in good faith and reasonably, on the information available: observations of the organizer and the referees, statements of participants, video, ratings, tournament records. Measures at the event do not require a prior decision of a court or any other body.
4.8. If a registration is cancelled or a player or team is disqualified under sections 3 and 4, the entry fee is not refunded (clause 5.3). Damage a participant causes to the property of the organizer, the venue or third parties is compensated under the applicable law.
4.9. The measures of sections 3 and 4 are applied by the organizer. RabbitMatch does not make such decisions and is not liable for them. The organizer may inform RabbitMatch that a player's level was found to be hidden or understated, or that a player seriously breached fair play; RabbitMatch may then correct the player's level and rating in the RabbitMatch app, as its Privacy Policy describes.
5. Cancellation by the participant and refunds
5.1. You may cancel and get the entry fee back if you write to the organizer no later than the number of days before the start stated on the event page and in your confirmation email (5 days unless the event says otherwise). The request is made at the organizer's contacts given there.
5.2. After that deadline the entry fee is not refunded.
5.3. The entry fee is not refunded for a no-show, late arrival, withdrawal during the event, injury or illness, a teammate's withdrawal, or a disqualification or cancellation of the registration under sections 3 and 4 or the event rules.
5.4. A player in a team may be replaced with the organizer's agreement; a replacement does not give a refund.
5.5. Refunds are made by the organizer: to the card used for payment, or to the account a transfer came from, within 10 business days after the organizer confirms the refund. The time for the money to appear depends on your bank. If the bank does not return its processing fee to the organizer, the organizer may deduct it from the refund.
6. Changes and cancellation by the organizer
6.1. If the organizer cancels the event, the entry fee is refunded in full.
6.2. If the organizer moves the event to another date or venue, your registration stays valid. If you cannot take part on the new date or at the new venue, you may ask for a full refund within 3 days after the change is announced.
6.3. Weather, a change of format or schedule, the number of participants in a category, or the merging of categories are not grounds for a refund, as long as the event takes place.
6.4. If the event cannot take place because of circumstances beyond the organizer's control (force majeure), the organizer decides whether to move it or refund the entry fee, in full or in part, and announces it on the event page.
7. Payment disputes
7.1. Before disputing a payment with your bank (a chargeback), contact the organizer. A dispute opened without contacting the organizer may lead to refusal of registration for the organizer's future events.
8. Personal data
8.1. Your details are used to register you, contact you about the event, and send you the confirmation and reminders about the event. They are passed to the organizer for these purposes. RabbitMatch processes them under its Privacy Policy.
8.2. If the event's participant list is public, it shows only first names and the initial of the last name.
8.3. What the organizer reports to RabbitMatch under clause 4.9 is processed under the Privacy Policy of RabbitMatch.
9. Changes to these Terms
9.1. These Terms may be updated. A registration is governed by the version in force on the day it was made; the version is recorded with the registration.
9.2. If an update made after your registration puts you in a worse position, it applies to your registration once you have been notified of it by email. If you do not accept it, you may cancel the registration with a full refund by writing to the organizer within 3 days after the notice, and in any case before the event starts. Taking part in the event after the notice means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Contacts
10.1. Questions about an event, cancellations and refunds: the organizer, at the contacts on the event page and in the confirmation email.
10.2. Questions about the registration page: info@rabbitmatch.pro.
